I'm looking at lifting a 1999 PSD Crew Cab Dually. I want a good lift done right. Truck will be a welding rig so it will have a big welder and lots of tools with a custom bed. Also looking at running some nice Bilstiens. I know I will need spacers for the rear wheels but will I need them for the front also? Has anyone lifted there duallys and who makes the best lifts? What all am I going to need and how big should I go? I'm thinking around 6" to "8. Is there an all spring lift or will I have to run blocks of some sort in the rear. The clearance and larger tires are a must for the type of working conditions the truck will see.
buy complete springs , no add a leafs or blocks. i am a welder too and the add a leafs make the springs bend funny. with blocks you need ladder bars. the complete spring kits will take the abuse of an off road rig.far as brands, make it a brand name and you will be ok. make sure to use goog lube on your bushings when installing them, less squeak going down through the woods with the added weight.
Your best bet is going to be Donahoe Racing. They have the best designed lift kits for the super duties, hands down. Jimbo
