here is a back looking forward shot. this box is meant to be used on the side of a trailer or flat bed. i needed something to open from the front. the only drawback is i cant fully open it when i have the Goose attached. itisnt a big deal to me.

i would put a picture of the inside but it is a mess way worse than the sides of the bed next to the box. the box is full open inside with no partitions. another thing i liked about it. ill be cleaning it after work tomorow.
here is a 1/4 shot. when i get the bed re arma coated then i will have the box done inside and out to take care of the rust problems.

Ok I went down to my Fiancee's place, Got the camera, came back home, and then took the pictures. Happy??rotfl

    Anyways here they are:

Its a Husky (Home Depot) deep well single lid tool box. It is made out of aluminum diamond plate and I think it is powdercoated black (Im not a fan of the polished aluminum diamond plate). It has most of my tools for work including an Air Compressor, as well as some tie-downs, tow straps and trailer hitches

And here is one of my Lumber-Rack. Not used to store anything but gives my truck the ability to haul just about anythingwaytogo

    yes... i am happy..:stir: rotfl

i was thinking about a lumber rack... then i remembered i have a goose neck.... so obviously that wont work.

i will however build a removable ladder rack when i flat bed the truck out.

nice setup ya have there, i agree on the black vice the polished.

Don't have any pictures, but I am using a Weather Guard steel tool box that goes across the bedsides. It is painted pewter, and my truck is black, grey, white, with a hint of blue on the roof rotfl .

Yeah I want to get a gooseneck trailer but I think Ill just get a bumperpull for now and wait until I get a new truck for the goose.

I have a friend with a chevy 4500 kodiak w/ the D-max and he has a contractors body on the back. He had the rack made so that it was adjustabe. He can slide it foward and hook up his 38' toyhauler with no problem.

yeah, i was thinking about those side boxes as well... there is a company that makes some that do not go over the rail and cover the wheel wells completly. the only problem is IF i do flat bed out my rig then i wont have a feasible use for them. im debating on the Mega cab dually flares now....

also it would take to much away from being able to haul stuff. right now i can fit a set of full sized 1 ton axles in the bed no prblem with room to spare. if i put those boxes in then im out that option. next mod if i dont flat bed the truck will be a hoist behind the driver side up front and a stack on the pass side...

yes, but you have a long bed... i dont...

i use ALL the space i have to fit two full size axles in the truck as of now.
i can fit more if i stack them and would still be able to get the gate closed. i HATE driving with the gate down....
