Does anyone know how I would go about adjusting the idle on a 95' 12 valve? My Dads is a 98' 12 valve and idles between 800-900 rpm, mine idles around 450-500 rpm. Higher idle just seems to help a little more on take offs. Both are 5 spds. Any insight or ideas would be truly appreciative.

You are idling at 450-500 RPM? That is way too low, sounds like someone turned it down for some reason( maybe noise level?).

You need a short 10 mm wrench to do this. The adjustment is at the back of the pump towards the bottom. It makes it easier if someone helps you by giving it some throttle while you feel where the linkage rests against the adjusting screw. IIRC, you turn it out (CCW) to increase the speed.
