Just the words " The deal does not prevent Cummins from selling a diesel engine to another automaker" is sweet music to my ears. Hell even if it's only a single cyl Cummins powered Ford skate board I'll buy onewaytogo .
It would be neat to see some 6 cylinder F150 or the Ranger. The Ranger with the above mentioned engine with 340 ft.lbs would be sweet for desert racing.
What about the 2005 Jeep Liberty SUV Diesel, Sort of a truck, and 5000# tow rating. 2.8 liter Detroit Diesel with 160 HP and 295 ft lb. Too small for me, but just thought it worth mentioning.
Slap that motor in a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with the new 6-speed stick and I will be the first in line!!!
international ford and nissan. dont think that you will ever see a v6 in a ford any time soon. ford is kind of pissed at international for the problems the 6.0's had when they came out. what you will see is that v6 in a nissan around 2009. then an international v8 in nissans 3/4 ton truck around 2010 or 2011.
well the new 07 Wrangler has th V6 so its much closer to being an option now than ever before.waytogo
v-6 in LCF If it were true that ford was not to buy in international engine then why is it avail. this year? Check out the ford commercial truck website look for the LCF (low cab forward I think) the engine is none other than the aforementioed International v-6
