I am thinking of getting some different door emblems. Would these be a better change or not? Stock Here is what I am considering. I kind of like it, it would be something different, but on the other hand it may look over done. What do you guys think? Would this emblem be a good change?
Just take them all off. Anyone that counts is going to know it's a diesel anyway and it looks cleaner. I'm getting ready to debadge and I'm just going to go with the rams head under the tail gate handle like the 05's and thats it.
Emblems? I hate emblems, stickers, all that crap. I say make it clean... In fact, when I bought mine, one absolute requirement was that they remove all that mess, including dealer badge and god awful HUGE 4x4 plastered on the bed. I left the HD emblems just because that's what it is, even though I was on the fence with that one, I felt it sorta "suited" the truck. <shrug> But I sure wouldn't take that 2500 emblem of your off to put on a sticker...
The Cummins ISB emblem is not a sticker, it's a chrome plastic emblem just like stock. I peeled all the stupid black stickers off my tailgate with my heat gun back when I got my windows tinted. After thinking about it, I think I will get the gun back out and take the current emblems off. Then I might go to the dealership and get a couple of the small chrome "C" emblems that are on the 3rd gens behind the headlight. I agree that it looks cleaner without the emblems but I do like the little chrome Cummins "C" too.opcorn:
I debadged my truck (except need to finish the tailgate sometime) and all the pin striping and all. Only have "12V Cummins H.O." on the sides of my cowl hood and the towrig stickers on bed and my freeride on widnshield
Hmm, actually, the little "C" emblems aren't so bad. That might be a good choice, but I definitely would try it "bare" first. Those monochrome Ram Sports just look SO GOOD completely dechromed and debadged, it's hard to improve on that. Sometimes I still miss my "clean shaven" 98 "Emerald Green Metalic" Ram Sport...
I'll have pics of a completely debadged Ram in a little while. Russ, was your '98 a 1/2t? 3/4? Gasser or Cummins?
Looks good with no badges. I like the "clean" look. I never have liked badges or stickers - if someone doesn't know what I have without a sticker to tell them... they probably aren't smart enough to understand anyway.
