<shrug> So, how is that different than the rest them? :stir: Just kidding. I hope that wasn't one you were depending on. My son did almost exactly the same thing to a built 350 in my K5. Ruined everything in the short block and the Torquer heads had to be decked to clean them up as well as replace some valves and guides and a seat.
ya, i really did not care what condition the motor was in as long as the turbo was good, as i had a good motor basically sitting on the shop floor. it did lock up pretty violently, as all the flywheel bolts where broken off, or severly bent.
proper way to carry a motor upside down what do you mean bent, the ones pretty straight, but i might need to turn down the crank and wristpin diameter to reinstall it so the plastiguage crushes properly..

Just and aside, and this is not flame bate, but can you actually keep an IH/NS motor from leaking without constant maintenance? Seems to me that every one I've seen with more than 50k on the clock is black and gunked up from oil and diesel leaks. Seems like the design is just prone to leaks, and I've heard the same about Detroits, much like Harleys... I had a 7.3 NA years ago that was always leaking from something, and seems like most of the 6.2/6.5s (Detroits) get pretty nasty too. Again, just currious and wanting input from someone that knows more about them, not starting trouble.
powerjokes leak more than this motor. the engine oil coolers are prone to coolant and oil leaks. fuel return lines on these motors are common for leaks, and the valve covers usually leak. oil pan rust. usually all external leaks, not really much goes into the valley and drip down the trans. powerjoke is another story- lots of leaks in the valley. turbo pedestal o rings, EBPV solinoid, HPOP fittings on the pump, fuel lines, IPR, fuel pump. tube falls off of water drain and it drains into the valley, oil cooler, oil pan rust. then the internal leaks such as the injector rings and cups. i personally thin kthe cummins are worse for getting the whole truck oil covered with the front crank seals and all the stuff at the RF of the motor leaking oil.
