    Hey All,
Thinking of upgrading our Motorhome this year, looking at these models:
    http://www.fourwinds-rv.com/funmover/
    http://www.gulfstreamcoach.com/enduramax/

Anyone have any experience with these?

Anyway I would like opinions on the following powerplants in these rigs. The Vortec and Duramax are the most avaialble - how do they compare in mileage and general use?
    Duramax 6600
    Vortec 8100
    Catepillar 300

Ah, maybe it would help if I gave you the following info - I would put the motorcycles and quads in the back (sometimes just that light load). But I am looking at these toy haulers in particular due to their ability to tow the K5. I would be getting a trailer for the Blazer in that case.

Having the Blazer available for the motorcycle weekends would be shweet so it would probably be towed frequently.

I would consider a large gas engine to be a canidate about as much as a pet hamster with his wheel connected to a small driveshaft would be.

Hands down the Cat C7 that I thought I saw on one of the links. It will up the price of the rig more but will be worth it. They are an excellent engine. They are stouter than the Dmax, make more power, and will outlast it. It will probably even out do it on fuel mileage.

The Dmax guys are going to throw a hissy over what I just said but a big motorhome is not a pickup, it's a medium duty, or at least I would think it would be if a C7 is an option. I'd take the C7 over an ISB Cummins too, the C7 is going to be stronger.

I'd pick a motor in this order for a larger motorhome,

    1. C7 Cat
    2 ISC Cummins
    3. ISB Cummins.
    4. International DT466
    5. International 444
    6. Dmax

rotfl That's funny, but I would certainly have to agree with you.

Those things are pretty cool...but I'm no rich man.

Not rich here. We started with a fixer-upper Moho and will be going into debt up to our arse on a new(er) one. You can finance mohos at home rates and durations like 15 years

Wow... I'm suprised they do that, but I guess that would be about the only way to sell many of those with thier price tags. Personally I won't finace a toy, even though they would be really cool if you used it alot. I personally wouldn't use it enough to even buy it outright. But to each his own.waytogo

I don't think I would spend the cash on one of those. However, I would spend 3/4 of that on a nice used diesel pusher and then buy an enclosed trailer for putting the toys in. The accomodations in the Funmovers are sparse at best (My 5er Toyhauler is better appointed than the funmovers I've seen) and the resale value is crap, atleast in this neck of the woods. For what they want for a toyhauler motorhome, I think the money would be better spent on something else. JIMO.

    Starting at $150k

I think the lowest priced unit would be fine for us - most of the options I don't need like satellite tracking, gazillion TVS, maple cabinetry etc.... I would probably add the tag axle option but the rest of the coach is outfitted very strong. I imagine the engine mods/HP increase adds tons to the price. Sure felt cool sitting in the Freightliner air ride seats :pimp::D:bling:

The Salesperson said these have very good resale values - I can't seem to find many used for sale. Either way we will not be getting one of these
