A few weeks back I got revenge on the "Bozeman Pass" outside Bozeman MT.

Last summer, I pulled this pass with my K10 & flatbed combo, and our 2500 360 could only pull it at 25mph in 1st gear. With the same load, my '05 Cummins pulled it at 73mph and I had to back out of it because the corner was too sharp for my comfort. :pimp:

Needless to say, I'm very happy with the Cummins thus far.

Wanna race up it again? Got the 5" on and now I can't even get it close to hot. Can't wait to tow up a good hill again, might be able to run wide open now. Gotta love the rattly diesel rigs :waytogo:

I can't wait to hear that 5" - it probably sounds mean as hell....

If you fix that rear suspension problem so you're not swaying and we'll give it a shot :D

You'll probably win it simply because I run out of gear in direct at ~75 and I can't force my auto into o/d and i'm not sure how it'll handle it.... Why did DC have to get rid of the NV5600? Stupid G56 ruined my 6-speed/Cummins hopes.

the 5" is ALOT quieter than the old 3-4-5" setup.... but according to the friend I smoked racing against his Allero its still decently loud. I also got both my upper airbag mounts build and just gotta build the mounts for the axle side and I'll be set.

Nice, how heavy you towing? I pulled it in January and could only pull it about 68mph pulling a 10K trailer.

The trailer's about 2000 empty, the K10 is about 5200 empty (before I had the 1-tons under there), with tools, spare tires, a full tank of fuel plus 10 spare gals, etc I figure the trailer weighs damn near 7600lbs. Plus I was carrying an extra axle because I couldn't offload it before I had to leave, so I was probably coming in just about 8000lbs GCVW was probably 15,700.

Ah, My GCVW was a whopping 19,832 on the flying J scales in Cheyenne on the way. Man I gotta build a little car trailer, this 20' flatbed is too much to tow around.
