can i jack the motor far enough up to get the oil pan out, or do i have to do it like a ford and pull out the engine?
pan is rotted out, truck is a 1 ton 2wd auto. 2000 ish i think.
trans also has to come out of the truck, will this help me at all for doing the pan in chassis?
    thanks,

Pop the motor mounts and lift it enough to get to the oil pick up tube bolts. They aren't in a nice place to get to. Then you pull the pan and pick up tube together.
