I just filled up both tanks Sunday and I started getting the "Water in Fuel" light on my truck yesterday afternoon. The light doesn't stay on. It's come on probably 4-5 times while driving, each for 5-8 seconds or so. My truck is a 96 F350 PSD 4x4 Crew Cab.

Is there a major concern with this?

Is there something under the hood I should check out?

    What would you do?

    Thanks in advance guyswaytogo

drain the water seprator. yellow handle under neath the flip up lid, turns 90*. turn it for about 5 seconds, look under truck to confirm water/fuel spilling out. has a hose to route it nicely, but they seldom get hooked back up and it usually drains out the back of the block, then down the bellhousing.

Thanks. I'll look for that tomorrow. Currently in a severe weather advisory for 3-4" rain in next hr. Flash flood warning, the hole 9 yards.

    Damn desert living :)

drain it into a clear container if you are able to find one. then let it sit. if by chance you have water in your fuel, and you will see it if you do, then take off to the store to get an addative for water.

if it is on and off like that then i would have to say you have moisture in the fuel. not good as water does not like to be compressed...
