Can the modules & tuners for the 05's be used on the 07's? A co worker just go an 07 3500, and I'm trying to be the bad influence by talking him into a tuner or module. Most listings only go up to an 05 though.

Ya, it'll probably take me that long to get him to spend any "performance" money on it.

I don't believe so, I forgot what changed in 06, but their was an electrical change of some kind so a lot of the moduals from 05 will not work on the 06 up but some will.

    Depends on the unit.

The TST PowerMaxCR will work with a different injector wiring harness.

The edge is different for 05, 06, and 07

The Smarty 06 should work on the 07

Other downloaders that work on the 06 should work on the 07

In 2006 they changed the system the truck uses for the computers to talk to each other, so thats the problem witht eh downloaders going from 05-06. As for Edge, well, they are a PITA sometimes.

Let em know what you are trying to influence on him and I'll tell you if it will work!:stir:

He's leaning towards the SCT, due to the cost. The main thing is getting top mpg's. It gets 17hwy now, but he wants to see if it'll get better.

How different are you talking? How long before you think a tuner may be on the market? Or, will they forget this oddball & wait til the 6.7 comes out?

The 05 and 06 are teh same motor but the comupters use a different form of communication. As for 06-07, not much dofference, but enough that Edge has some issues putting an 06 box on an 07 truck. Freakin amatures.

Edge needs to get their crap together.
