First post here, sorry about my english.

Besides the dual rear tires what are the diferences between a 05 2500 and 3500? I know they have the same axles and drivetrain.

    Can I tow a 33 ft GN weighting 16K lbs with my 05 2500?

    Thanks.

    Sandro.

2500 are, like you said, Single wheeled, but 3500 can come in single wheel too. Major difference is in the springs. The 3500's are rated for a higher GVWR then the 2500's.
I believe 16K is over the limit for a 2500, but I'm sure there are people here who may do it. A dually 3500 2wd would give you the highest tow rating.

    Thanks for your answer.
Do you know what is the GCWR for the 05 2500 HD CTD 4x4 auto quad cab?

    Thanks again,

    Sandro.

look at the sticker on the drivers door. It gives GVWR (total weight the truck can be safely loaded to)and GAWR (total weight each axle can support seperately, but cannot exceed GVWR at any time when combined) The tow rating is not given on that sticker. You would need axle ratio to get a better tow rating for looking at the listings.
