Never heard such a thing. An HY is a waste of time. It doesn't matter what you do to it on the intake side, it still has a 9cm exhaust housing. I wouldn't spend a dime on an HY.

The HX40 comes off of a C series engine, an 8.3L Cummins. It has a 4" outlet and will not just bolt in. You would have to get a 4" downpipe, and have to already have a 4" system. With that aside, the HX40 sucks for the most part, it has a weak shaft in it and is very susceptable to snapping if you run a lot of fuel and bark the turbo. Hince why Industrial Injection's "PHAT SHAFT" line of turbos are so popular.

All manual Dodges and 94-00 autos use an HX35.

Mmm, it varies. I've never seen one, but have seen numberous threads of people having them break on different boards. The general consesus is that they are weak. If one would break on you depends all apon how you treat it. You aren't pushing that much fuel, propably even not quite enough to really support a large turbo like that.

If you use a 40 to make a lot of boost, and bark the turbo it is going to break sooner or later.

With 100HP injectors you can push a 40.

Like I've already said in your other thread, your HY will NOT be ok with 100HP injectors. Towing doesn't matter, we are talking just average driving around. If we were talking about towing an HY wouldn't even be in question. Much above 300HP and you have to watch the pyro very close with an HY.

The only real way I could see you getting away with 100HP injectors an your HY is to take out the Banks module and remove the programmer.

Whats wrong with just ordering up something like a BD Super B turbo or something like a Dodgezilla hybrid?

I would say the BD super B or an II PS62. 100hp injectors are going to get really hot. With the 2 fuel programmers you have plus the sticks thats going to make smoke and heat. Thats about is. Also, have you upgraded your fuel system yet??? Fuel Pressure gauge? Before you doanything else, better do that. if you think moneys tight now, a VP44 is $1K plus $400 core. Plus, you gotta replace the lift pump with something $300 +

I would hold off on the injectors and think more about whats needed.
