While brand loyal "rah-rahing" is a good thing, I am looking for constructive reasons why you think the Dodge Mega Cab is a good rig. What parts of it do you think are noteworthy. Thanks

The long wheelbase makes it more stable while towing than a quad cab shortbed

As mentioned, huge cab, good looks, good wheelbase. It's just the lack of a long bed that kills me.

I hope and pray that the new 4500 and 5500 series will have a Mega Cab option that comes with a long bed, with 19.5" Alcoas from the factory...

Heck a reclineing back seat would be good for anyone looking to catch some sleep on the road or on a hard night of drinking and no driving.

Lots of roooooom in the back. It is great to have some space behind the back seat for all the junk. One think, as mentioned before, if you need 8ft bed, Mega is not for you. :pimp:

Plus the truck is so comfortable and with the huge cab, if you have youngsters in cars seats they can't reach far enough to kick the back of your front seats. The rear seats lay down for a small bed, or awesome flat storage. I thought not having an 8ft bed would be a pain, but it really has not hurt that bad. My fourwheeler is the only thing that makes a short bed a pain, cause I cannot close the tailgate with it in there, but other than that the MEgacab is perfect for men and family to ride in comfort with good storage space. Plus with the long wheelbase, it tows like a dream. Scotty

because you can't get a long-bed, it looks ugly and it makes the truck heavier then a quad cab already is.

oh....that was the answer to why you shouldn't get a mega cab. :D
I wish Dodge would offer a regular sized crew-cab because my trucks are working trucks.

btw; if i'd want lots of space I'd get a SUV.

    Well, not really.
I know a sport utility just isnt enough utility for me. But as to whether or not to get a mega cab or a crew cab with a standard or long bed, that is still up in the air.;)

all depends on what you want to do with it. If you often load lots of stuff in the bed you'll be sorry sooner or later that you got a megacab (short bed). Now if you're not gonna use the bed that often a short bed will most likely be enough. There are always other options like a full crew cab with long bed if you need both, lots of room inside and a long bed....you just won't find this option in a dodge.

i cant believe this many people like the mega cab!! i still cant stand! i still think its ugly as crap!! especially the dually. it would look ok if they took away that panel behind the rear door. all they have to do is make the front two doors a liitle longer, and take the panel away! now put a long bed on it, and youve got a truck! i thought after a while it would grow on me, but its obviously not. sorry, i had to to speak! but i do like all the room.

I seen a mega cab 4x4 at the dealer the other day all rigged out with pipe bumpers, headache rack, wedge tank, etc....IT WAS SWEET!!!

My next truck just might be a megga cab 4x4, rigged out w/ air bags and all.

    But to each their own.

the only ones i kinda like, are the black ones, with dark ass windows, so that panel doesnt show up as much. theres one in town here thats a dually but its got dark windows, ranch hand bumpers front and rear, and 35's. it looks decent. but otherwise yuk!
