has anyone had good experinces with this, i got one but just checking on a 3rd generation because dad just bought a 06, and was wanting to get one. need feed backopcorn:
Edge Juice with attitude is a great product, i have had one on my 05 for 2 years with no problems, other than when i had a dumba** attack and took it off the mount to clean the dash and forgot about it and shut it in the door. it shattered the screen but edge repalced it for free. as for towing or anything, i hauled a car from virginia to ohio in level five and never seen above 1100* in the mountains, level 6 is a little different though.
Juice/attitude is decent. If you want flat out performance TST all the way. I need to know the build date on the you dads 06. If its built after 6/06 the J/ATT won't work yet, but you will need to get on the waiting list if you want one soon. If its before 6/06, your good. Also, the juice now checks and clears codes from the attitude.
i have been on a deployment in the military for the past 5 months, looks like i will have to get the update to clear codes when i get back in May
Our 2nd gen 24valve trucks are completely different then the slightly later 3rd gen Common Rail trucks. Edge makes a great product for our 24v 2nd gens, better than most other companies. But, their 3rd gen stuff rates further down the list. TST probably makes the best electronic setup out there for the Common Rail, it has a bunch of features, much more settings than Edge (9 I think) and delivers a silly amount of power on the top levels. Edge's stuff can't even touch the TST PMCR. Also, I think I remember something about the Juice raising rail pressure, thats not really a very good thing.... I love my Juice....on my 2nd gen, but if I had a 3rd gen I wouldn't own one. See, some companies make something that is great for a certain brand and even more detailed down to a certain model of vehicle. That same company, may only produce less impressive products for a different model. It's just learning what's hot and what's not for each brand and year range.
I had an Edge Juice w/ attitude monitor on my 05. i loved the power it offered... the thing put out plenty of power to bust your transmission (even if the TST offers more power i dont think you could really use it w/o massively upgrading your transmission). I only ever ran the thing on level 3 or below just because i didnt want to mess up the trans. in summary i would give the waytogo for the edge juice.... but i have never driven anything w/ a TST...
well the spray trailer holds about 900 gallons full and the weight of motors and 20 foot dove tail he pulls it daily when spraying. the juice has gauges and good enough power for what we need. like was said before he dont need to burn up his tranny so he is probally goin to go with edge
Edge Juice does not raise fuel rail pressure on the CR trucks. The edge EZ raises rail pressure. www.edgeproducts.com makes some awesome products and has great customer service.
the common rails are new to me so what is the differnce from adding fuel and increasing rail presure, a link or just simple info would benice
Raising rail pressure injects more fuel by increasing the pressure. The computor opens the injector and more fuel flows through the injector while its open becuase there is more pressure pusshing it in faster. This CAN be hard on injectors. By using Duration (like the Juice, and TST) you manually control the injectors, when the fire (timing) and how long they stay open (duration). A longer duration (longer the injector stays open) the more fuel you can inject and more power is produced. The real trick is combining it all for serious power. I would recommend the Juice to you for the application you have shared. For the price its about the best deal.
