OK, I installed a 37 gallon in bed tank on my truck. I bought a kit for a gravity feed system. My only complain is that it drain really slow into the stock tank. I have been at 1/2 a tank for three days. Is there any reason why it drains so slow. Could it be that the tanks is not self-venting.

Yeah it could be.Try loosening the cap on the tank.If you get a rush of air then its not vented. If that doesnt work, try putting a small board under one end to give it a little tilt.

You may be right. I do get a rush of air whenever I open the tank. I'll see about making some type of vent.

yep, you need to vent the tank.

I ran out of fuel on my main tank one time, because my aux tank vent was plugged and I wasn't paying attention to the fuel gauge.

I read a guy had a 90 gallon aux. fuel tank on gravity feed and it would drain all but 10-15 gallons. I installed an aux. fuel pump on mine to get all the fuel out of the tank. I also installed a Racor water/fuel separator as well. Works great...waytogo

I have a 50 gal aux tank/tool box, and I just bought a cheap 30 dollar chrysler fuel pump at the parts store along with a remote fuel/water filter.
I had room to mount the pump inside the the tank/toolbox,and made a
mount for the filter under the cab off my running board mounts. Then I
put a 3/4 x 3/8 T into the tank vent line to transfer the fuel. I mounted a
lighted rocker switch in the dash to operate the pump. The pump is not a high volume/fast one,so it takes around 30 minutes to fill the trks tank up
if it is on Empty. I just have to be careful not to forget that it is turned on
or it will overflow out the filler cap on the bed.(that happened once, but I
caught it when it started to overflow)

I did a pump on latest to solve the issue. I would always have 5-8 gallons left. Plus by pumping it I send it through a fuel water seperator (20 micron) then through a 5 micron filter.
