Hey guys, I think I'm having a little trouble with the stock injectors in my Dodge. About 3 months ago i noticed that my truck would smoke after i started it, but only when it had been sitting for awhile. So, i took it down to the dealership because it is still under warranty and after they finished with it , it stopped smoking. Not even a month after the work, my truck started doing the same thing again. So my question is to all of you guys out there is, what type of injectors should I try to get that won't hurt me in the wallet too much but still preforms really well?
Well, first, what did the dealer do to stop the smoke the first time? As for injectors, well tough question. See, on CR motors, when you buy injectors, you only buy the tip, or Nozzle. If you have a bad injector body (barrel scarred, plunger stuck, ect) aftermarket injectors will not help you because you have to reuse the stock body. New injector bodies are not cheap as Bosch has not released repair parts for them yet.
Once you find out what the dealer did to make it stop smoking, then upgrade. I bought a set of the RV injectors and I like them allot.
