I have a 2006 Cumming 6 cyl that I purchased use and I can not find the cord to plug theHeater in. Where would it be located ? If not installed where to I install it at ?
If you pop the hood, it should be on the left hand side (passenger side) just above the bumper bolted to the inner structure.
IN 2006 the manufacture sent the trucks out with a heater and no cord. They learned that they can sell them for $65.00 a piece. I bitched about the price and got it knocked way down. Thats one big pile of BS but the way it goes I guess. A dealer can sell you the cord. It plugs in under the exhaust manifold, there should be an orange plastic cap over the heater element. Its just a two prong socket that the cord screws onto. Easier to put on if you crawl under the truck. Its just aft of the oil filter. Good luck.
On my 06 it was a 25.00 option that I ordered, had to look around a bit to find the end of the cord the first time I needed it. lol
I got mine for about 35 dollars. It has the push in retainers installed on the cord and runs up the frame rail. It takes about 10 minutes to install.
