Have any of you purchased the greaseless balls that are on the market now? The ones with a nylon cap on them to keep from having to put grease on the ball itself before towing a trailer.

I have been looking at the rapid hitch for my truck because I don't have enough adjustments in my current setup and I have been trying to decide if the greaseless setup is worth it. I think it still may need some grease because the clasp will still be rubbing on the metal area just below the nylon cap.

Just wanted to know if anyone else has had one yet.

I know.. it was really too easy of a target... but come on. someone has to have purchased one of these setups and just hasn't shared with the rest of the group.

I have seen them, but since I haul commercial I just don't thing they would hold up. And since I just run a trailer one time from the oem to a dealer I never worry about. I use a B&W adjustable hitch for hauling stuff around home and again I never grease the ball, just the latch.
