Hello. My name is Dave and I have diesel in my blood. waytogo I run a few websites of my own and decided to stop in and see how ideas are shared here. Dave
West side of Washington state. I fish north to the upper Skagit for Steelies, salmon and Dolly Varden all the way South to the lower Columbia and up to the Bonneville. I spend tons of time on the Cowlitz and that's my "home" river. With a 6 fish limit and reopening to Salmon, it's nothing short of a bloodbath most days. As the summer approaches, the Cowlitz slows, we switch back to the Columbia for a montha dn then right back up the Cowlitz. Just chasing fish. I boon-dog, side drift, pull plugs and bait divers, hog line, troll and use every about every method of catching fish short of depth charges. I am letting my Coast Gaurd cert lapse and gonna stick to the upper Columbia as insurance rates have nearly doubled for those fishing below the magic line. So I don't book anythign in the lower river and just fish it with my buddies while pulling crab pots. Dave
Welcome Dave. Enjoy the site.. waytogo What's the largest Springer caught this year? I know about the 46 pounder you caught in Feb.. Anything bigger?
Seen a 48lb taken. Boat next to me. We had 2 over 40 ourselves same day. And 2 in the mid 20's. Been fishing the Cowlitz. Limited the boat at 10am this morning. 5 clients, that's 30 fish between 7am and 10 am. Just a great day! Dave
