Has anyone dynoed a stock Diesel rig with just a few thousand miles and then dynoed again after 10,000 miles still being stock to compare the numbers? Everyone says their rig feels stronger after it gets broken in, just wondering if there were numbers to back it up.
That would be cool. Willyswanter said the gas mileage should increase also. 6K to go and I should be getting a few MPG added opcorn:
I fell this way too. My Dmax, now with 24K on it, gets 19mpg and Sh***s & Gets! When I first got it, 25miles on it, I was only getting 14mpg, as time went by my millage kept getting better. AS for the power...?? I don't know as it was a whole new truck to me and it's self was new, I was learning to drive it just as it was learning to respond to my 'style' of driving, so....
It's hard to tell with mine due to all the changes, but it really does not seem that much different now than then. <shrug> But it would be really cool to see actual dyno numbers at maybe <100, 1000, 5000, 10000, and 25000 or something like that. Maybe throw in unloaded highway miles (for better consistancy) at the same check points.
After about 8,000 miles mine felt like it consistantly pulled harder and the mileage picked up a tad too. Just seat of the pants feel though - no numbers to back it up - sorry. Tom
