I am wondering which gauges I need to put into a 12v Cummins with a manual. It will have fairly light mods like #10 plate, exhaust, and intake. I know I need an EGT gauge. What other gauges should I run? Thanks Harley
Thats about it, maybe fuel pressure and boost. BTW, did you buy a truck? You never responded to the thread you made about if you should get a 24v or 12v, there are lots of responses waiting for you if youi haven't already read them. waytogo
No I havn't bought the truck yet. I still think I will end up with a 12v because they are probably going to cost less money. I am on a tight budget so the best bang for the bucks (that are available) is what I am going to get. If I can get a good 24v for a good price I will do it but I am kinda leary about them because the expense's to mod them. Hopefully I can get a 98 12v for the good interior and the cheaper mods. If I find a 98-99 with a 24v that is a good deal I will do it. I know that if I get a 24v I will need to get a fuel pressure gauge and a pyro and maybe a boost gauge if I start moding it hard. Harley
P.S. I did read the other post. Thanks for the info. I am going to get the most truck for the money that is available whether it be a 12v or a 24v. Harley
I have a 12V manual tranny truck. All you really need are pyro and boost. Don't need to worry about fuel psi with the 12 valve. I got the 3 gauge pillar cause it was the same price as the double but have an empty hole still. I'm thinking of putting a air PSI gauge there for my rear airbags or a differential temp gauge.
