I gave up on people responding but if any one has an opinion on towing mirrors for a 95-01 ram I am open to opinions. I tried the crappy slide on things and they were crappy I don't know how they can even sell those things the wind and vibration makes it impossible to see anything.
I tried the slide on, tie on, etc, this is what I have now and I love them. http://www.campingworld.com/browse/products/index.cfm?prodID=3410&src=SRQB needs a spot mirror though, I stuck something like these to the outside bottom corners. http://www.campingworld.com/browse/skus/index.cfm?skunum=19725 Now I can see everything.
You need a pair of FACTORY flip out towing mirrors. Best there is when it comes to mirrors. I'm ordering a pair for my truck next month!
I was looking in to both of the options flip out and pull out mirrors but they are pretty pricy. I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and get some.
with your year dodge you can get the new ones like on my truck. the flip out ones. tell ya what when the dealer tried to pull the wool over my eyes as the build sheet said it was supposed to have then, but didnt... (they wanted to get me some slide over ones like i had on my chevy dually YUCK) i raised all hell and got my mirrors. every bit of my time worth it. Grant
DR.AMX, I ordered my flip outs for $209 brand new, the whole kit and not just the mirrors. Not bad when the extentions are nearly a quarter of that. I am VERY impressed with them.
I just ordered the factory tow mirrors for my Ram for $288 shipped. There's a Dodge dealer out of Texas that sells OEM (Mopar) via Ebay. Should hopefully be here tommorow. Brand new in the box, by the way. -Steve
Update- Got them today and installed them. Brand new OEM as advertised and they work perfectly. Makes driving with a camper on the back a heck of a lot better!
They are a lot beter aren't they.... They make the truck LOOK like a truck and you can actually see now.. I hate getting into my dad's truck, as he is too much of a wimp to give up the powered and heated features that you never use with the small 1/2ton mirrors.opcorn:
