17 PSI with the Banks kit should not be possible. Sounds like either the gauge isn't working right, or somebody stuck a different turbo on there....
It swaps in fine, other then some electric controls on it that might differ. It will make it easier to crack your cylinder heads if you're not...
I assume you mean a DB2831-4808. It won't fit a GM 6.2 diesel. It was made for International Harvester 7.3 liter engines used in Ford trucks....
