Can anyone help me with this combonation. I have the edge with attitude and the bully dog power pup downloader with a stage 1 shift kit, air intake, and exhaust. I can only run the power pup on level 3 with edge on 0 or the power pup on 2 with edge on 3. The tranny keeps going into limp mode......Is this comman?

i really have no solid answer... but i would guess that the two different software programs are conflicting with eachother or with the transmission software. or maybe there's just too much power which is making the transmission freak out ... have you modified your transmission at all?

Its hit or miss with the Allison...There are a couple of guys over on thedieselplace.com who are running the Edge on 5/5 and 90-120hp predetors stacked with out limping the trans. Others have similar situations to yours where just a 5/5 Edge will limp it. Look into an upgraded valve body and Torque converter to fix the problem for good waytogo

Running a stack with a stock Alli is asking for trouble. The Edge by itself is capable of putting in +90, maybe +120 tops (with no stalled launches or OD roll ins) without limping. Stacking is only for built trans even on the Alli. Even then, you can do serious damage to the motor if you don't know what your doing when stacking. You may have already done permanent damage to the tranny...

Edit: Just realized you said you had a "stage 1 shift kit", missed that before. What type? Did you replace the converter? If not, then it's slipping the clutch and causing the limp. To do what your doing, even on the lower settings, you will need at least a Trans-go WITH a good single or tripple disk converter.

I don't understand this. Why would you want to have an Edge turned on 5, then stack another 50-100+ HP on top that? Is this for racing or are you actually driving around like that? I would think the smoke would be rediculously thick and would put uneeded strain on the engine, just for driving around. :doah:

For up to +150 on a single box (depending on the box) like Edge Hot Juice, a good single disk converter and trans-go kit will hold up to normal "playing around" and semi-hard use according for to most reports.

For stacking and more exteme use, frequent drag racing, and such like, your probably best going with ATS or SunCoast. Which is better value is a matter of some debate. Do research and then call them for advice on which level you need.
