Im looking to buy a car trailer for $150 in need of work. It needs a sandblast and paint, some welding (rear x-member), suspension work (1 axle sits in the air with no load), its eletric brakes to be wired up, misc crap, and most of all 2 new tires. The only problem is it has 14.5 inch tires!!! Ive never heard of such a thing... the rear axle has good tires marked 8-14.5 and the front BAD tires are marked 7-14.5. I havent seen it myself because its 3 hours away but my very good friend has looked at it for me and provided all this info.

Here's the kicker... there what I think is called clamp on rims. 5 bolts are near the outside of the rim and it has one giant hub. I have a set of 15 inch car tires at my disposal and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to convert to a more practical hub setup (I can find steel rims for cheap).

    Thanks!

    14.5 tires

14.5" tires are for mobile home applications. The tires are cheap and come in multiple plies. I just recently bought like new 14 ply 14.5 tires from a mobile home yard for 45 bucks a piece. I also found wheels there. I am not sure if that helps at all but I thought I would give my experience.
