My GCWR reads 12,000 for my truck . What a joke. My GVWR is 8510. So I am left with a max trailer weight of 3490. Who pulls a gooseneck with their 3/4 ton?

I'm currently getting my pickup setup to pull my 20' gooseneck. You can pull a lot more than 3500 pounds behind your truck. Something doesn't sound right with those numbers. I wouldn't be afraid to pull 10K behind your W250. I will be pulling 11-15K behind my 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins.

I know those ratings are ridiculous. In stock form my truck only put out 160hp and 400ftlbs of torque. She used to be a real dog. The non lockup trans sucks too. I wouldn't hesitate to pull 10,000 either, but I want to put 2 4x4's on the trailer so I am looking at 12,000 maybe 14,000. I think I need a dually with an exhaust brake.

I have a gooseneck in my truck and pull very heavy loads with it. I have several cab tractors that I haul on it, weighting from 10k to 15k, thats not counting the weight of the trailer.

I hauled off a load of scrap iron a few days ago and the truck and trailer weighed 14,300 empty. This was the first time I have ever been on the scales with it. I had 11,560 of iron on it and it just walked off down the road with 0 problems waytogo Man you got to love a cummins

I've also hauled 17,000 lbs of hay with no problems, btw I have a single wheel truck.
