I read the info on the 360HP dmax and 6 spd allison in the industry news forum. My question is, is there any real evidence that it is in fact coming and when it will be available? I need solid proof, a guys truck is riding on it. Reason is a friend of mine told me last night that he ordered an '06 Dmax and ( I first said "I'm sorry" rotfl oke: ) and then told him about what I had read. He was very interested in the new Dmax version and trans and said that if I can show him that it is in fact true he will cancel the order and reorder the truck when the new version comes out. I am just curious if anyone has any info from GM themselves or something that would solidify that a new version will be introduced. I'll feel like a jackass if the guy waits 6-10months just to reorder the same truck because the new version never came out, and obviously has to wait longer for a new truck for no reason. :doah:

I saw this truck at sema. It came factory with 5" exhaust and 20" wheels and seems like it had autometer gauges in it from the factory. The way I understood it was it was a concept. That would be so cool if I was wrong.
Yeah, and I even went as far as calling the guy that wrote the arcticle and we talked for about 20 minutes. waytogo Sounds like it's coming out to me. He said somewhere between Sept. and Oct. hopefully. I wasn't doubting the arcticle, just was hoping to get even more info if I could.
