just accidentally ended up with an 89 f450 with a 7.3 diesel. the rings are done, so i am thinking short block is my best bet. are the heads on this truck prone to cracking or any other type of damage, or should they be usable for another couple hundred thousand miles? and does any one have any suggestions on where to buy rebuilt 7.3 short blocks?
