Hey Guys, New to the forum. Just a quick question for you. I have an 06 F350 dually 6.0 with the tow boss 2.5" reciever. I would like to drill 2- 3/8" holes in it for back-up lights. Has anyone done it or will this do structural harm? This is the best spot I can find to mount them, but don't want to cause harm. Thank you for your help!!!

I wouldn't but it's because I wouldn't want that risk. What about some clamps around the hitch back to the mounting bracket? I have a friend that mounted some lights that way.

I have thought about that, have a friend that did that. Just wanted a more solid mount. The factory did drill 2 holes for the wiring harness, so I don't think it would be too bad, just wanted more input before I do it.

I mounted 2 rectangle halogen lamps on a flat bar about 14" wide and fastened it with 3m two-sided tape just above the receiver. Hasn't came off yet after 2 years.
