2007 6.7, my warning light comes on alot. I run alot of desert in my business and at night I have to idle to run my air or heater and the catalist warning comes on about every night, I have to get on the feeway and run alittle for it to clear, then it's fine until I'm setting the next night idleing and it comes on again and the same thing again. Is there a way to stop it from filling up so fast or do I have to stop idleing? thanks for any help, Hank

slow down on your idle time and use your high idle feature thats in your cruise control or have your whole exhaust system removed and replaced with a dpf delete system, but that will void your warranty if you had to go back to the dealer for some bs work....but if you know the guys at the dealer then you are golden!!!!

read you owners manual. it has all the answers to your questions. anytime you have excessive idle it will clog up and you will get a light. when you drive the truck it blows out and the light will go out. same with the high idle feature, its all in your owners manual.......

High Idle (used to the PTO that is not available on auto's w/6 speed) is not enabled by default from the factory unless you have a PTO. If you have manual tranny, then enabling it in the ECU is not enough, there is a wire that is capped off that must be grounded to make it work.

So you may have to head to a dealer and have it enabled. Some will charge an arm and leg, some will can be haggled with for a price, others will charge a small reasonable fee.
