    Hello,

Somebody is offering to me a 14 bolts rear end from a Chevy Wrecker with dual wheel.
I would need to use it with a single wheel. It is for a Blazer K5.

Will it need any kind of modification?

    Thanks much.

I'm pretty sure the width is different between an SRW and DRW 14BFF. Plus you'd have to move the shock mounts and spring perches anyway since it came from a 1 ton. Just go find an SRW 14BFF out of a 3/4ton GM truck from the 70's-80's. It will bolt directly in with zero modifications, besides a hybrid u-joint to make the stock driveshaft work.

    ohh what rabies :doah:...

I sure that i could get a good price for this...

Here still is a lot of ex army pick- ups in the junkyyards,i don,t know if those are 1 or 3/4 ton.
The trouble is they are asking a lot of Euros for those axles here.

    Thanks for the reply.;)

M1008 ex-army GM 4x4's are 1 tons. They have a great drivetrain too, but won't just bolt in, in the rear.

Any junk yard should have a half dozen 3/4 14BFF's laying around.
