2.Yours an auto or stick? Auto it will more than likely hurt if you run the high setting alot and are hard on it.
    3. For the price, I dont think you can go wrong with the Edge Juice w/ Attitude. Very good chip!!waytogo

I love it how people always forget to mention if they have a standard or auto....:doah:

It will likely destroy the auto...eventually. It all depends on how you treat it.

As for something better, I've ridden and driven a truck with the TST on an '06, all I can say is I was very impressed with the TST, and has more features and better power control than the Juice.

Usually someone asking if you can hurt the trans is running an Auto.
So, can it hurt the auto? Sure, if you are very rough to it on the 5x5 level or you get the hot level 6. Where will you drive it most? 2x3 or 3x3 I would guess. At that level, just a bit more power, better mileage, no it won't hurt much. Anything up 60hp is free. Up to 100 its suspect. Drive with over 100hp and you will eventually damage it if you are on the throttle alot.. For the Money, probably the best bang for the buck for a guy looking for a noticeable increase, but not wanting all out hell raising power.

Now, the TST, insane power, little more low tech appearance, great unit. More options to play with, and yes, you can crank it up and tear a transmission out. Took me about 3k miles to burn up my stocker, but I was trying.rotfl

Good point Jason, a guy doesn't always need a Juice on level 5. You aren't going to leave every light and stop sign thinking there is a white line up ahead.

I run my Juice on level 2-4, but spend 80% of my time in 3. Another thing is that to help keep the stock auto alive, is to stick with a lower setting but mash the throttle harder. At least then, you are keeping the line pressure up with more RPM's and throttle percentage.

With the Juice+Attitude combo (or any of the other higher output chips/modules), the old auto vs. manual trans durability question pretty much goes out the window once you reach level 5 and especially if you have the "hot" upgrade. You don't really have to worry about hurting the actual transmission on a manual truck (although 3000 rpm clutch dumpers in FWD might not be the best for it), but the stock clutch will hate you and will most likely leave in a big hurry if you make a habit of running hard on the higher settings.

Now the Edge/Attitude has a setting to de-fuel if manual clutch slippage is detected, but there isn't much uses in buying a 100+ hp box if you can only use 60hp of it. Just my $.02.
