    Hello to All
I recently purchased my first diesel powered truck and am very happy with it so far. I do not have much towing experience, hope to pick up some info from you guys! I have always had Fords and bought a 2001 F-350, CC,LB,with the 7.3. The previous owner took good care of it and it is totally stock.Any help on engine upgrades would be great.
    Thanks
    TUGMAN

    Welcome to the rig!

Lots available. How much power would you like to get?

Upgrade to 4 inch exhaust and upgraded air cleaner is a good start. Gauges would be the next step, some of the tuners/programers/chips now have the gauges built in. Then you can set it up to defuel if necessary. Enjoy the rig! waytogo

    Hello Woods
Thank you for the reply. After looking at all there is on the market its tough know what is a good and not so good. I dont know what brand of oil the previous owner used. I see alot of different opinions on the subject. I have a friend who swears by Amsoil. Can i run a synthetic with out knowing the previous oil? Also choosing intake and exhaust sytems.
I have to read the input from everyone.
    Thanks Woods
    Regards

I have an edge box in my truck, and I like it. If I had to do it agagin, I would buy and edge product with the guages built in. Cheaper in the long run and some safe guards built in.

I can't see spending the money on synthetic motor oil for a diesel engine. Rotella dino oil has been around forever and the big trucks run it and they put millions of miles on their rigs. Good enough for my little truck.

I'm going to upgrade to a stainless 4 inch when I upgrade the turbo on mine. As far as upgrading the air filter, don't know yet, still looking. The drop in K&N is doing the job for now.
