I've got Isspro guages in the pillar on my truck. The pyro is digital but the other two are mechanical. My question is, the two mechanicals seem to have a different brightness and color tint to them. The boost is brighter and blue/green while the temp guage is dull and yellowist. I would like for both to be brighter and have the same tint. Any ideas or tricks I could try? Is there a better bulb for these guages?
some guages are rebuildable when it comes to the lighting I have heard of others installing newer or other colored led's it all depends on how the guage is made you might want to tear it down and have a look see or call the manufacturer.
You can get little covers for the light bulbs in the gauges to change their color. They look like little "safe sex" covers... http://www.autobarn.net/aumelibuco3.html
I have the same issue with my Autometer Sport Comp II pyro and boost gauges. The reason you get a difference is that the bulb for the boost is in the center of the gauge, while the pyro is offset, so it is not as bright. That is straight from an Autometer tech I spoke to about this. I thought I might have gotten a bad gauge. I ordered LED replacement bulbs that have a green tint and will try those. frysl 04 2500HD CC 4X4
