My names Gus I have a Few diffent rigs I tow with . My primary Towrig is my 2000 Ford F-350 SRW 4x4 with the Triton V-10 and auto trans I really like my truck (even though I would say I'm a Cummins guy) It has decent pulling power and has so far giving me 120,000 trouble free miles.... well except for the brakes and my trip computer. the reason i'm posting here is I'm Looking to upgrade either by Modifying my current Truck or Buying a New truck My ford is paid for which makes keeping it a Viable option Any ideas??? I would be Interested in a Cummins swap if there is Info out there

Welcome, Could ya tell us folks what kinda MPG the V-10 is getting? I talked to a fellow about 97 or 98 that had a Dodge DRW with a V-10. He said his MPG were very bad on his best days, but had plenty of power.

My best tank was 16.8 running empty at 65 mph Hwy My worst 2 tanks were 7.2 pulling a T-300 Bobcat on a 30 ft tandem axle Dual goosneck trailer 75-80 mph with a couple of pretty nasty mountain passes I check my Mileage at every fillup My average is about 12-13mpg empty about 8-10 towing My truck has 3.73 gears and 255-85-16's on it . I.ve thought of chipping it and/or a banks kit . or even a Supercharger But I 'd like to be able to run the cheap fuel

Hey Pal, Yoyr MPG running empty is pretty durn good. Your loaded MPG sure does seem to be kinda low compared to a diesel truck. The V-10 seems to have quitley disapeared from the sceane OH Oh My bad spelling sems to be getting worse, so its off to bed!!!:D
