Ok leaving for Colorado Saturday! and will be towing my CJ on a 16ft dual axle behind my 05 Grand Cherokee w/the Hemi.

It tows quite nice and has little sway or any issues like that (we'll see what its like across Nebraska though)

The MDS system kicks in below 65 mph running on 4 cylinders for better gas mileage. My question is does this happen under load - I would assume no but figured I'd ask - and if it does would it be better to run w/o the MDS on (above 65) because a four cylinder pulling that will just suck fuel

I think I know the answer to this but figured I'd ask because I am bored...

    Thanks!

I don't think it will do very well with only 4 cylinders firing. Maybe at a steady cruise on flat ground but I don't know. regardless, I think if you can get it hold fairly well with only one bank of cylinders without having it floored than I would think that would net slightly better mileage than all 8. Not sure though, I don't know anything about some of this new displacement on demand stuff.
