How hot is too hot on an 05 CTD 610.
Pyro is pre turbo in the exhaust manifold about 3 inchs above the turbo mount flange, just to front of center of where the front and back cylinders dump together infront of the divider.

I have found that unloaded I can easily hit 1100* just running it hard.
I run my stroke up to 1250-1300* when pulling but don't really want to get the CTD too hot.

I can hardly believe I can get it that hot so easily, just thinking back to before I had guages and how hard I ran it MAN, and I don't even have a chip.
Only mods are a good 4" muffler, no cat, and an AFE filter and torque tube.

1,250* all day long. Above that should only be for short periods of time. 1,100 isn't too bad.

my '05 ram is my first turbo diesel, how hot does it typically run at posted speed limits? my off road vehicle is a 6.2 n/a diesel and i never even thought about exhaust temp because everyone said not to worry about it
