I got some Coopers, how good of a tire are they?

So I came up with some used 16.5x9.75" Weld Scorpio rims and 33x12.50 Cooper Discoverer LT tires. They are load range D with a 2910lbs rating, and one is nearly new and three are about 25% tread left.

Has anybody ran these tires before? How did you like them? I wasn't a big fan of these tires when I bought them but they are really growing on me, especially when I see what is left for choices with a 16.5 wheel. My options are these same Coopers, BFG AT or MT, and a Pro Comp A/T. How do the coopers compare to these brand/models and which would you go with?

I'd personally go with the pro-comps. mainly because I have run them on 2 vehicles now, and they wear like iron compared to the BFG's i had on the same vehicles. I got almost 2x the mileage out of 'em and never noticed any difference in traction. They also seemed to be quieter then the BFG's, but you may not notice over the sound of your 24V anyway! I cannot comment on the others though, as I have never run them.

My father in law has those tires on his Dodge and loves them. He's been buying Cooper tires for years and always gets great mileage out of them.

That is what I was hoping to hear, mainly because I can get away with just buying 3 new ones and save a little money.

I have the discoverer S/T on my '06, a little different tread pattern but same thing otherwise I would say. I have no complaints. Outstanding performance in the snow. Good quiet ride. I will buy another set when these are done. Mine are on a 17" wheel too...33x12.50. Love em....waytogo
