I think the max GVW for a 550 is 19K.

    payload

I have a 2005 crew cab 4x4 F450 6.0 powerstroke the curb weight of my truck full of fuel with me in it is 8900lbs. The GVW is 16000lbs. So to come up with the payload subtract 8900 from 16000 = 7100lbs for my payload. Look for the tag in the drivers door jam and see what the axle's are rated for. Add the two and you will have the max GVW. Then go weigh yours and then you'll know. Hope this helps
