Well Im gonna do it. Im leaving Sunny Southern California and loading up the tow rig and trail rig and heading east to Colorado.

I was wondering today, as I saw someone get pulled over for having their front windows tinted, if it was legal or not to have them tinted in Colorado. I know a few of you live out that way so I was hoping you could shed some light on the subject. Thanks!

Hopefully Colorado isn't as strict as California.

On a side note, glad to see someone else get out of Cali....it'll be a few years for me....

If I remember right you can have something like 28 percent tint on the windows if they are all tinted, if the side front side windows are not tinted the back side and back window can be a lot darker. If you want to know for sure call any Colorado window tint place and they will know for sure, mine are the darkest allowed on the front sides and the rest are factory, I will dig up a pic.

OK, here is a pic, I only had to tint the front drivers window and the front passenger window, the rest were tinted from the factory. If you look real close the front/side is a tad darker than the factory but you really don't notice it.

Wow, a PA state cop would have you scraping that front window tint off with your fingernails. Must be nice. I think we are allowed 11% tint or so in the front windows. There's no limit on the rear windows.

I actually wouldn't woryy about it until you get here. You could then ask locally or even go the police station & ask them to test it for you. They have a meter to determine the % for legal purposes.
