Wanted to say hello to everyone out there. Looking forward to posting on this site. I have had my diesel for about a year now and love it, why would anyone get a gasser again? Still trying to educate myself on what are the best upgrades to get and read a thread about mileage and I am in the same boat can get maybe 475 miles out of tank on the highway!! I want to know how some of you guys are breakin' 500 and even 600 miles on a tank of fuel when it sounds like we are driving the same?
Welcome to Tow Rig! I can get about 600 out of a tank if I run empty and keep the speeds down to 65 or lower. But I have a lead foot and a modified truck so usually I'm lucky to get 450 miles out of a tank. :doah: -Chuck
thanks for the reply, I will have to try a straight road trip on cruise to really see but I have never even gotten close to those numbers, maybe they getter better the more broke in they are. I have roughly 65,000 miles on her. Since your an Amsoil guy I was thinking about putting on a bypass filter if I remember correctly you guys have one that you promote-is it really beneficial and if you do get one do you need to get another fuel pump-I think I heard something about the fuel pump in the dodge having pressure issues. Your thoughts.
