New, with questions

    I'm new to the diesel seen and have a chance to get a 93 dodge 3500 for about 4500.00. It's in really good condition but I don't know what to look for. I guess I need to find a mechanic to go with me. Please let me know what you think.

    I know the 12v can have a prob with a dowl pin falling into the timing gear case (read KDP) not sure if a prob in that gen. Not too up on the first gen cummins dodges. Auto to manual?
