yeah so the 4x4 club decided we were gonna do a very easy trail since most of us have our rigs down right now and something we could take our towrigs and DDs on. Well the recent snow made it a little more challenging. The group. A mid 90s crew cab dually Chevy 6.5 towrig, a mild built Jeep from the Billing, MT club, a 94 Nissan Pathfinder in progress build DD, a Jeep Rubican from the Billings club, and my 97 Dodge 5.9. Yep, I'm stuck, shoulda hit it harder. Darn light Jeep just went over the top. Well pull me back and I'll try again. Ok, 3rd gear, high range, WFO Kinda getting hazy here I looked at the pyro once I was almost through. 1200 degrees. She was workin one wheel wonderin from each end of the rig. Got stuck with the other jeep later on pretty bad. The 6.5 and Pathy both had turned back by now and it was just me and 2 jeeps. Never thought I'd be airin down the TR but it was needed here. Got the Jeep behind me out and pulled across this snow and then they both hooked on to me and as much as I had dug under the ol 7000 pound Dodge it popped right out and I floated the snow easily out then. So my friend that told us he has done this trail in a Subaru I beg to differ. Then again we got a good snow twice last week.
Oh come on man!!!! The Dodge belongs in the parking lot with the sled trailer hooked to it and you should be ripping it up on that mod RMK!!!
That was the plan for today. Yesterday was supposed to be a short dirt road drive to Red Lodge, MT for lunch as a club but ended up a full day wheeling trip. I was plannin on headin to Cooke to day but was so tired from messing around in the snow all day and not getting home till 11 last night (was planning on being home at 3) and didn't have me stuff loaded or gear packed (read planned on being home early).
