I am going to take the dinky little trailer dad gave me and make a 4 place sled trailer. Am thinkin 24' deck length plus 4' pointed tip (basically 6 peices of 4x8 plywood deck 3 longx 2 wide plus another 4x8 up front sideways cut and pointed to a V). Am looking for pics of the basic framework underneith. I have a bunch of 2" sq tubing I can use off some old beat box semi trailers we junked out. Any pics would be appreciated. Thanks.
2004 27' Interstate enclosed snowmobile trailer...only way to go. waytogo We have a little tiltbed 2 place that my dad built using a small trailer like you are working with. Maybe if the GF will let me, I'll get the camera and try to get some pics of it. Sled trailers are real easy to build. 2 pics of the best RMK Polaris ever has produced..... imp:
I am lookin for more of a open flatbed deck trailer. I got a new toy..... 99 rmk bulkhead, CMX tunnel, the 700 out of my old blue sled with the SLP single, v-force 3s, cut head, boost bottle, 162 attack 20 track, M-10 suspension, Boss seat, fabcraft chromo post, powderlite trailing arms, simmons, drop and rolled chaincase, big wheel, R&M mesh hood and stock hood that I put my custom aluminum fog light setup on, planning on either boondocker or ice nitrous system here soon..... etc etc etc....
There you go, why not just copy that two place trailer? Build your frame underneith anf build the deck on top of it. Oh booooo, 2nd gens.... rotfl I bet the attack 20 is nice in the powder, but sucks coming down a hill with crusted snow... I don't get the whole windshield and light thing.... I know it saves weight and all but it just looks goofy. :doah: Modifications are cool, but I want to keep my sled very reliable. I'm too tired of wrenching after the end of the week to want to do anything to the toys (sled, quad, K5) The last thing I want is to hit the snow for the day and have to spend it tuning. :doah: If my 800cc Liberty ever has crank problems I will probably go with Struthers 910 big bore kit though, but I'll send the engine, carbs, and clutches to them so they can have it all dialed in and ready to hit snow. All I'll have to do is install it. Why'd you go with an Attack 20? Personally, I'd take a series 4 challenger, but I do a mix of everything, which is where the Challenger shines.
That is my 2 place trailer... a little short for a 12'6" long sled. A friend and I are going to build a 4 place to share to save fuel towing up the hill in the tow rig. Am looking for framework of a 4 place trailer. I always break the windshilds off so figure go w/o plus a loss of around 10 lbs. The attack 20 came with the sled so will try it. Would like to sell for a 159x2 series 4 polaris. Not sure I want a 2.4" paddle. My engine already has bearing upgrade and all and I have never even had a lick of prob so far... knock on wood. I might be getting a PSI 1085 for it too. Not bad deal for $1200 no engine thoug, it has all the right parts. I'm gonna try the M-10 but might sell for a holtz too.
It regularly snows in half the country.... It doesn't take 47ft of snow to ride. I live in California and annually have enough snow to ride from November to late May.
Well, after putting a nasty built 800 in the sled the Attack 20 pretty well sucked, Was either a cannal digger or in powder possition it floated like no other but would spin climbing too easy. I put it back in the hill climb possition then straightened the paddles so it had the stiff lug but not so aggressive... WOW! Works so awesome. Last weekend the onthe thing that marked me out of our group of every kind of sled was a 1000 Rev and he had to be on the happy button. I got a hookup at Boss Noss so that is going to be on it here soon. Was also snow racing saturday and when I actually hooked up I smoked everyone, when I spun the first 200 feet the remaining 200 feet of track wasn't quite enough to run them down, needed another 100 feet of race track. Here is a pic from CMIs site: I live in northern Wyoming and ride Cooke City, MT up in the beartooths primaily and sometimes the Big Horns but they kinda suck.
