On a '05 SLT Big Horn 2500 QC LB 4x4. With a 48RE even. Hope I don't start to sound like Bobby <jk> rotfl rotfl Couldn't pass up the deal, even got over KBB trade in on my C3500.
Aren't all the '05 H.O.s This thing makes my old '95 7.4L rat seam like a real dog. It S**ts and gets it. Every time I stomp on the go pedal I get a big grin. imp: I had them roll Mopar power running board into the deal so they're covered by the 3/36 waranty.I'm also getting "remote start" and Mopar seat covers so I don't screw up the new seats.
I don't have a clue on the new trucks If it's not mechanical I really don't have any interest Good luck fixing it when the waranty is up. rotfl Not to mention the price on those parts. Although they are really nice when they are new. waytogo
Geeze, why not just say you think it's a pile? Mechanical motors are old school......now, comment when you catch up with the rest of the group.
Dude don't get me wrong. I would love to have a New Truck and maybe I came off a little bull headed but due to the fact that a guy can't make an easy diagnoses without going to the Stealership for repairs keeps me from really wanting one. waytogo
I'm just yanking your chain. waytogo I would agree, but the nice thing about an ECM is that most of the time it will tell you whats wrong with itself. Diagnosing is sometimes the hardest part of fixing something, or at least thats been my experience. :doah: Anyway, I think the HUGE benifets of the electronic diesels outweigh a few of their drawbacks, especially compared to a mechanical motor.
No worries Dwitcher. Since its a '05 I've got the factory 7/70 powertrain waranty. If I want to I can convert it to 7/70 bumper to bumper for $700.00 during the 1st year or $825.00 during the first 3 years.
