I got a recall notice in the mail today regarding my 06 3500 CTD. It says the roll-over valves may allow water into the tank. They want to put a hose on the valve and check my fuel system for water.

I don't really want to have to remove my Edge programmer, but I don't want the dealer making a note that I have it either. If I don't have them install the hose, then they can later deny a warranty claim on the basis that I did not protect my system. Am I screwed no matter what?

They prob. won't even notice. Most guys just walk out to the truck, lay on the ground and pop the hoses on. Takes about 2 minutes as long as it's not a mega-cab.

Thanks. If it's that easy then I'll see if I can get the dealer I bought it from (100 miles away) to send me one.
There are two Dodge dealers near me, and I hate them both. One I've bought three vehicles from before they switched ownership and the place went downhill. I would not trust them to fix my skateboard.
