Not sure which kit it is, but let me tell you, they are a little more involved to change than the Valve Body. You will get better performance out of a built Valve Body that just the shift kit. There is much more done to performance VBs than just the shift kit. Its a little more money, but much better performance.

The deep pan is an excellent idea. It will add to the ATF capacity, help cool the ATF, and with a drain plug built in, makes servicing much easier.

I do alot of business with Suncoast. I tend to stay away from ATS for most things.

Which one? The Suncoast ones require you to chose the converter. I also have a few other transmission options.

    No factory one here!rotfl

The basic rebuild from suncoast is listed, and requires a converter. The Nadp is listed with a converter.

One thing about VB and shift kit is $$$ - VB around $400 and shift kit $80.
If $$ is no object then VB is better than shift kit as additional improvements are done to it

Most average Joe's don't really want to mess with all teh tiny little peices, check balls and springs involved with tearing apart a VB and trying to rebuild it. Shift kits weren't intended for the end user to install, but rather for professional shops to use as a means of upgrading a rebuild. Believe me, spend the money, get the VB.
