I have done some research on this board and others about shocks. Everyone seems to say GO BILSTEIN. The only problem is those guys are all running 3/4 or 1 tons. Will Bilsteins ride rough on a 1500. I tow a 16ft car trailer with 4500 lbs of Jeep and gear from time to time, but mostly daily driving on rough MD backroads. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
just get the bilsteins that are for your application. 1/2, 3/4. and 1 ton's are all valved differently. the parts guys can look it up real easily to get the right ones for your truck. bilstiens are a nice quality unit.

That's why I was asking.
the app. chart online shows different shocks for the 1/2 and 3/4 tons. the 1500 uses one shock and the 2500's and 3500's all have GVW's of 8800#'s and up so they take a different shock. I'd go with the bilsteins if it were me. I have always liked them.
