I'm putting in a toggle switch in the cab of my truck and instead of tapping into another wire, I want to run a dedicated line to the fuse box. I see that there are several spare positions open from which I could run a fuse tap. Unfortuately, I need the toggle to be switched power. IOW, I only want it to turn on when the key is one.

Does anyone know if any of these spare fuse positions is switched power? Thanks in advance for your help.

If you don't have wiring diagrams, you might try using a voltmeter. Connect it to each fuse prong and cycle the key. Of course only one side of the fuse will be hot cause there is no fuse plugged in. Good luck.

Just use a test light and have some one turn the key on and off.If the light goes off with the key going off it is switched. But I don't think any of those are switched.
